The Milan School of Media and Communication (MSMC) invites applications for its inaugural one-month Visiting Fellowship for the academic year 2026–2027.
Three fellowship positions are available for scholars and researchers in the social sciences and humanities whose work focuses on media, communication, culture, and related fields. Each fellowship will last one month during the 2026–2027 academic year.
During their one-month stay, visiting fellows will receive a gross stipend of €3,000.
Visiting fellows are expected to actively engage with the MSMC research community and contribute to the academic life of the Department of Social and Political Sciences at the University of Milan. They will be asked to hold a seminar or lecture as part of a university course and to deliver a public academic lecture within the Department.
Visitors will be responsible for securing their own accommodation and covering their travel expenses.
Applicants must be current full-time permanent faculty members at their home university.

- a statement of interest, indicating the research project to be undertaken at MSMC and the proposed dates of stay;
- a full CV, including a list of publications.
Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis until all three fellowship positions have been filled. Decisions will be communicated to applicants following each review round.
